How can the district ask for a bond without raising my taxes?
The For All Our Kids bond issue is a no tax increase measure. A homeowner will see no additional costs with the passage of the bond. The district's bonding capacity is $15 million. That means the district can ask voters to approve a bond up to $15 million without a tax increase because the current debt service levy can take on this amount and retire it without additional funds. The district is only asking for $12 million in order to have some bonding capacity available if needed.
